Learning & Growing Together To Be The Best We Can Be

Religious Education in EYFS

'Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.'

Joshua 1:9

Within Religious Education in our Early Years Setting we follow the Derbyshire and Derby City Agreed Syllabus

Children are able to encounter religions, learning about special people, through books, events, stories and objects. They also listen to and talk about religious stories. During RE lessons children are very inquisitive about the world and different beliefs.

We have a close relationship with the local church St John the Baptist in Staveley and we celebrate the Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter at the Church each year as a whole school. We also hold Mass services in school, led by Father Adrian and supported by our KS2 pupils.
