Woodthorpe Church of England Primary School

Learning & Growing Together To Be The Best We Can Be

PTFA

We have an active PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) at Woodthorpe who work tirelessly to fundraise for the school.  All monies raised by the PTFA goes towards enriching the learning experiences of all the children.

Through activities such as the annual Summer BBQ, Christmas Fairs, Halloween Discos, Valentine Discos, Easter Egg Bingos, the PTFA has in the past funded:

  • whole school trips to the seaside
  • contributions to residential visits
  • assistance with transport costs for educational visits
  • trips to the panto
  • a new library
  • hoodies for Year 6 leavers
  • visits to the school by travelling theatre companies to name just a few

The PTFA meets once or twice a term, usually during the school day, in a very relaxed and informal setting.  We have a coffee and discuss ideas for future or up and coming events.  We are always looking for new members so if you would like to become involved in any way we would love to see you.  Details of all future meetings will be posted on the online calendar on the website as and when they are arranged.  We appreciate that many of our parents work and are not always able to attend meetings held in the school day so if you are unable to attend meetings but would still like to be involved please let us know.

We appreciate any help you can give.
