Helping your child in Maths
To help your child in Maths:
- Count in ones from any number up to 100.
- Count in 2s, 5s and 10s from any number forwards and back.
- Year 2 – begin to recite your times tables (2,5,10).
- Get your child to help with measuring out ingredients if you’re baking.
- Say days of the week and months of the year in order.
- Talk about the seasons – the weather and the differences between them.
- In shops begin to get your child to use 1p, 2p, 5p,10p,20p and 50p to make small amounts of money.
