Let's Explore
In the Let’s Explore project, children will explore their class environment and school grounds so that they feel settled and happy in their new surroundings. They will learn about the local environment and find out about places they have visited on holiday. They will look at and create maps for journeys.

Within this topic we looked at maps, Google Earth and looked around our environment. We created our own maps and explored physical and human features in the local environment.
During this topic we read Whatever Next by Jill Murphy. We had spaced themed provision and counted many different moon rocks along with practising writing and letter formation in space glitter.
